Singapore Airshow 2010
8 In 10 Exhibitors Back For A Second Year

A strong exhibitor return rate and higher participation from global Top 100 aerospace companies bolster Singapore Airshow's position as Asia's largest airshow and a must-attend event for 2010.

60 of the global Top 100 aerospace companies have signed up for the Singapore Airshow 2010. Despite the economic downturn, many felt that there were compelling reasons to be back for the 2010 show. Among them is returning exhibitor Boeing. Says Raymond Francis, Boeing's spokesman in Southeast Asia, "The Singapore Airshow provides an excellent opportunity for us to meet with our customers, partners and other stakeholders, demonstrate the depth and breadth of the company's capabilities and showcase the products and services that are important to our customers."

Other key findings

  • More than five in ten surveyed expected 1-10% growth or no change in the outlook of Singapore's aerospace sector in 2009
  • Seven in ten surveyed intended to increase slightly or make no changes to their hiring plans from 2008
  • Nearly eight in ten surveyed expected the business environment to start improving by the second half of 2009 or the first half of 2010
