
With billion dollar contracts signed and over 130,000 visitors, the 6-day Singapore Airshow 2008 held at the Changi Exhibition Centre was a runaway success.
Here are some facts and figures:
- 800 exhibiting companies from 48 countries, a comprehensive mix of 50% civil and 50% military exhibitors
- 59 of Forbes Top 100 aerospace companies participated
- Over USD13 billion in sales of aircraft and related equipment announced during show days
- A further USD2.6 billion was generated from contracts for facilities and other services
- 43,827 trade attendees from 112 countries, including 240 delegations from 61 countries, reportedly the largest government and international delegation groups visiting over four trade days. Guest list included CEOs from major airlines, Air Force Chiefs and Transport Ministers.
- 959 journalists representing 305 media outlets
- 90,000 guests over two public days
