Boeing’s ecoDemonstrator 777-200 serves as a platform that takes promising technologies out of the lab and tests them in the air to accelerate innovation and solve real-world challenges for airlines, passengers and the environment. Built in 2001, this was the 344th 777 to roll off the assembly line. The airplane was delivered to Air China, which operated it on about 1,000 domestic flights a year for over 17 years before Boeing acquired it in 2019.
