Traffic Arrangements and Transportation Advisory for Singapore Airshow 2022

Singapore, 26 January 2022 – The biennial Singapore Airshow – Asia’s largest and most influential international aerospace and defence event – returns to the Changi Exhibition Centre (CEC) from Tuesday, 15 February 2022 to Friday, 18 February 2022. It will be primarily for trade with no public day programmes. During this show period, roads and public transportation will be affected from Friday, 4 February 2022 to Tuesday, 22 February 2022. 

All affected roads will resume normal operations from 6am onwards on Tuesday, 22 February 2022.

1. Road and Path Closures
a. The Tanah Merah Coast Road on-road cycling lane, Coastal Park Connector and pedestrian footpaths will be closed at
        night (8.30pm to 6am the following day) from 4 Feb 2022 to 9 Feb 2022; and will be completely closed from 10 Feb 2022
        to 21 Feb 2022.
b. The following vehicle roads in the vicinity of Changi Exhibition Centre will be closed to the public* during the times
        stated in Table 1 below:
• Changi Coast Road (starting from Changi Ferry Road (Terminal) and ending at Aviation Park Road)
• Aviation Park Road
• Tanah Merah Coast Road (between Aviation Park Road and Tanah Merah Coast Road (minor) / Changi Naval
        Base)

*Closures include vehicle roads, on-road cycling lane, Coastal Park Connector and pedestrian footpaths. Please refer to Figure 1 below for a map of the closures

^ From 14 – 18 Feb 2022, one lane in each direction is open for vehicle movement from Changi Coast Road to Tanah Merah Coast Road via Stockpile Road. Please note that buses and vehicles with a low undercarriage are advised to travel via Loyang Avenue instead of Stockpile Road

  1. Bus Service 35 Route Diversion and Complimentary Shuttle Bus Services
  1. Due to the road closure from 4 – 21 February, bus service 35 will operate a truncated loop between Bedok Interchange and Tanah Merah Coast Road; looping back at Changi Naval Base (Bus-stop #96439). It will not serve bus stops along Alps Avenue, Aviation Park Road and Changi Coast Road. However, a free shuttle service will operate between the Airport Logistics Park of Singapore (ALPS) and Changi Village every 10 – 15 minutes:

  1. Transportation to Singapore Airshow 2022
  1. Vehicular Access to Singapore Airshow
    • Changi Exhibition Centre will only be accessible via Changi Coast Road on 12 – 13 Feb 2022 and 19 – 21 Feb 2022; and Tanah Merah Coast Road throughout the Singapore Airshow period from 14 – 18 Feb 2022.

    • Only vehicles with a valid Singapore Airshow label will be permitted to enter Changi Exhibition Centre during this period.

    • For the period of 12 – 18 Feb 2022, the following access permissions apply:

      • Taxis that are alighting or picking up passengers, at the Changi Exhibition Centre Taxi Stand*
      • On-call taxis booked through any channel including mobile apps, by SMS, over the phone, online websites from 7pm – 7am +1 only
      *Note: A location surcharge of SGD $15.00 will be levied on top of the metered fare for taxi rides commencing from Changi Exhibition Centre.
      • Private Hire Vehicle (PHV) Services booked through applications such as Grab and Gojek etc
      • On-call taxis booked through any channel including mobile apps, by SMS, over the phone, online websites from 7am – 7pm only

  2. Airshow Shuttle Services
    • Airshow Shuttle services are available throughout Singapore Airshow at 15-minute intervals to and from the Singapore Expo for all trade attendees, routed via Xilin Avenue-Tanah Merah Coast Road. There will be approximately 15 Airshow Shuttles per day. Fees are as follows:

    • Hotel Shuttle services will be available for Singapore Airshow trade attendees from 15 – 18 Feb 2022 only. Seats are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
    • Fees are as follows:

      Two-way transfer SGD 30.00

      Note: Seats must be pre-booked via writing in to ota.airshow@accolade.events. Payment must be completed before boarding. Modes of payment are cash or credit card only.
