Mr. Mario MIFSUD

Mario MIFSUD is the Vice President for Sales and Trading, Renewable Fuels for EMEA and APAC in Neste. He joined the company in August 2025, and is responsible for the commercial activities and profitability of the renewable fuels business.  

Prior to joining Neste, Mario was at BP PLC for 27 years. He brings a wealth of experience, having held various global, regional and national leadership roles in BP's lubricants business and downstream division, and was based in several countries including Brussels, London, Paris and Dubai. His last role was Vice President of the Global Marine and Energy lubricants business and before that held positions such as VP Middle-East Automotive Lubricants, where he was also BP's Head of Country for Saudi Arabia, Castrol Global Strategy Director and Performance and Planning Executive Head for US Refining and Convenience and Global Petrochemicals.

He holds a master's degree in European Studies from the College of Europe, a Bachelor of Commerce, Business Management and Public Policy and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Malta. 

Mario is married with three kids, and in his free time, he enjoys various sports including gym, skiing, sailing and basketball as well as traveling.
